Forgive and "FORGET" thats the key word!

I am really trying to forgive and forget, but all the past pain comes back every time I am ignored and every time I don't understand the actions!  I don't even know how it came to be like this. We were great friends, or so I thought. It really bothers me to think that I'm being judged for something I'm not. Doesn't even want to take the time to get to know who I really am. How can I just let it go and be free from these negative feelings? I start to feel that I have let it go, then something else happens to bring my annoyance back. What really bothers me is others are being hurt too. Please Lord, help me to forgive and "FORGET".

The Best Gift We Can Give Jesus!

What is going on in our society?! There is so much contention and fighting over something that was just meant to bring joy to the children. People are fighting over if we should tell our children Santa is real or not, if we are good parents and starting the tradition of "Elf on a Shelf", and if Santa is white or black. Come on people, is fighting over all of these issues really bringing joy and peace and the true meaning of Christmas to our lives? Are we being good examples to our children? NO, and NO! I am getting so bugged by all these contentious people! When I asked earlier, "What is going on in our society?", I actually do know. Satan is trying to take our attention away from Jesus. It is Satan who loves contention, not Jesus. We are celebrating the birth of Jesus, the best gift we can give Him, is to love our fellow men, and to bring joy and peace to the world.

The true meaning of Christmas!

There is a big controversy about believing in Santa. And it really makes me sad that people get so angry about it.  Some are so for having their children believe in Santa that they get mad at those that dont. On the other hand, the ones that don't believe in Santa judge the others that do. All of this really takes away from the true meaning of Christmas.

There is a way to do both, I believe. We tell our children the truth about Santa, as soon as they ask, but we still make-believe together. We still talk about what the kids want Santa to bring. They still leave cookies out for him. We still say, “you better go to bed, or Santa wont be able to come”. Its still fun and magical, without having to lie to them. I also tell them that Santa is a symbol of love and service, and that there are many “Santa’s” that want to serve children. When we serve others, we are serving Jesus. It really goes hand in hand if you teach it right. Santa doesn’t have to be competition to Jesus. I really like how you are fine with what other families choose to do, because not everyone is like that. Some have gotten so upset with me and think I am a horrible mother when they find out that we tell our children the truth. I dont think the original Santa, St Nick, or Jesus would be happy with that attitude. Merry Christmas to you and your family!

What is the real issue?

I don't know about all the different kind of guns that are out there and I don't know what all the requirements are for getting a gun, all I know is that there will come a day when all the good people that couldn't get guns because of too much gun control will not be able to protect themselves from the evil people that were able to obtain guns illegally. Are guns really the issue here? no they are not. What causes these killers to want to kill in the first place? There are many causes, but one of the biggest is drugs, not only illegal, but also legal. Mental illness is a huge problem of our day and the way we are handling it is not working. It is just making things worse. These drugs are making people act out their worse nightmares. Causing them to do things, they normally would not do. There has got to be a better way. And if people would just study on their own, and not just rely on "the arm of flesh" they would find that there is already a better way.
